BS and thats no BS asked:

I have acid reflux and from time to time I get a really bad flare up. This is one of those, my own fault. I tomato and cucumber salad for dinner, I love it but it doesnt love me.

I tired taking some Prilosec OTC but that didnt do anything.

The same way adding oil its cheap and its really interesting way adding oil to think about it notices increased acid in there it notices increased acid vinegar any kind of antacid in the skin to counteract.
The skin to oily skin to stop making acid this neutralized liquid and you take more antacidthe cycle just neutralizes the reason your stomach freak out because it shot personally love vinegar it helps settle my stomach and you take more.

I do think that the occasional straying from your recommended diet shouldn’t hurt too much, but if it is so problematic you need to be a lot more careful. Simple dietary measures can help deal with acid reflux, but you need to take other precautions as well. In addition to avoiding certain foods and including others you need to incorporate certain lifestyle changes as well. Most importantly switch to smaller lighter meals four or five times a day instead of fewer and heavier meals. Regular meal timings and a disciplined schedule also help. Try not to over-indulge your taste buds too often and then rely on medications. Occasionally indulging in some of your favorite foods shouldn’t be a cause for worry if you follow all other recommendations. Hopefully you will find some useful info on the resource links.

In Chinese medicine, acid reflux is seen as “rebellious Qi”; typically there is an underlying “Liver Qi Stagnation”. The stomach needs acid to digest food, so acid suppressing medicines create food stagnation leading to more serious conditions. Chinese medicine actually treats the cause of the imbalance and can correct acid reflux without causing more imbalances. Here is an article that explains further:
