In last 6 months I have experienced acid reflux and a change in my stools - are the symptoms related?

The acid reflux is not continual but at least 4 times per week. Since the reflux problem started I have had paste like stools. Not watery but like paste. With or without using an acid reducer the bowels stay the same. What the heck is happening - should I go to doctor?

      I would go to a doctor, it could be a few things. I know that you can have bad indigestion if you have IBS, and indigestion can sometimes feel like acid reflux[I think. I know for a fact change in stools can be IBS related. I have IBS myself. I get bad indigestion, and werid bowel movements all the time.
